Globalization provides a view of which the interest of powerful countries is defined as a necessity while the demands of the poor countries appear as protectionism, which undermines economic success that means the that the rich are getting richer and the poor even more poor.
Millions of people have lost jobs due to imports or production shifts abroad. Most find new jobs, but they are payed less.
Also cultures get destroyed, bad influences of foreign cultures are affecting the local cultures through TV and the Internet.
Prisoners and child workers are used to work in inhumane conditions. Safety standards are ignored to produce cheap goods.

  2. A very negative thing is the fact that some western country use poorer countries for cheap prodution off different things, for example clothes. The consequences are on the one hand the people in germany loose there jobs and they get unemployed, because companys move there production to taiwan, and on the other hand the people in taiwan (often children) have to work for very cheap payment and inhuman conditions.

  3. I agree with the points given here.
I think there are also other important facts and one of these is that we depend on other countries. Germany depends on Russia for the oil, on America in politics, on the whole network of trading countries because there is no product produced in Germany, only in Germany and I think for the USA it's the same thing. The biggest problem we have is that we are controlled by many other countries because we depend on them. If we don't agree with the oil-price given by the other countries, they would stop the export of oil to Germany and then I think everybody sees that this is a problem for us.

  4. I agree with. Globalization can cause debt in a country, loss of jobs and businesses. JAmaica for example has been in a situatuion like that for awhile now. When a economy gets messed up from globalization it can cause struggle for the people who live there.

  5. I agree with Johannes and Niko, but I disagree with Flo saying that "we are controlled by many other countries because we depend on them." Maybe it cost a big problem by raise the price when there is a conflict between the two countries, which it will affect the country’s economy. Just because we need other countries resources does not mean we are controlled by them.

  6. Yes it true that people lose jobs and income by the counrty importing good rather than trying to grow and produce them. but While some jobs are destroyed., some joba are resurected by sending them instead to the ports which bring the imports into a counrty. Get what I'm saying?

  7. Yes its absolutely tragic that kids are put to work in inhumane conditions to produce the shirt on your back. and how do you protest it? You wear it any ways. if you really believed that it was wrong for sweat shops to be going on, you wouldn't be contributing to the people running them's paychecks.
