I think civilization is doomed due to overpopulation, pollition and all these problems because they recognize the problem. It is human beings that caused all this problem and it an inconvenient truth that's why others think they are crackpots.
I'm not quite sure, but i think the man with the old-fashioned clothes should be some prophet and he tries to warn the modern world with a sign in his hand. But the people how pass only wonder about what he wanted to tell, an nobody does understand.
The reason people like him used to be seen as "crackpot" is because they had no real proof of what they were saying. The people who see the man in this cartoon are pointing out that the man with the sign has proof of what his sign says. He's not a crack pot and neither are a lot of the people like him who have signs saying weird stuff like that. They're starting to have evidence to back up their accusations. I think it’s ironic that people used to not believe what people like the man with the sign said but yet they still paid attention to those “crackpots”. Anyone else find it kind of ironic?
I agree with everybody and yes Cindy i find that ironic only you would bring that up. It makes me wonder what all the people around these crackpots thought when what they where saying was true, became true?
